Founded on May 14, 1980, LAM's mission is to carry passengers, cargo and mail on its domestic, regional and intercontinental network, with an emphasis on safety, comfort and quality, in order to exceed passenger expectations.
On December 12, 2023, LAM added Lisbon to its network, operating Lisbon-Maputo on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with Maputo-Lisbon returns on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
From its hub in Maputo, LAM offers access to an extensive network of international, regional and domestic destinations, including cities such as Johannesburg, Dar es Salaam, Harare, Lusaka, Cape Town, among others.
LAM's frequent flyer program is Flamingo and the Flamingo Lounges are spaces created by LAM with the aim of providing maximum customer comfort. They can wait calmly for their flight, while taking the opportunity to relax, meet up with other people or even work. These lounges are open to all LAM flights and those of other companies that have an agreement with LAM.
